Kidding Season 1, Episode 2: “I’m Listening” is the second episode of the first season of the American dark comedy-drama television series Kidding. The episode was written by Dave Holstein and directed by Michel Gondry. It premiered on Showtime on September 9, 2018.
In the episode, Jeff Pickles (Jim Carrey) struggles to cope with the death of his son, Phil (Cole Allen). He begins to have visions of Phil and starts to behave erratically. Meanwhile, Jeff’s wife, Deirdre (Judy Greer), tries to help him through his grief. The episode also features flashbacks to Jeff’s childhood, which reveal that he was molested by his priest.
